Frequently Asked Questions about the Valuefogger

Can I use regular tap water in my Valuefogger?

Using tap water is fine; however "hard" water or water with high levels of minerals-especially calcium, may lead to calcium scale and "white dust." If you notice this; that is a function of water hardness and it would best to either filter your water by reverse osmosis (RO) or soften the water. Many times, RO water is easier to product than softened water.

How does water get into the Valuefogger?

The Valuefogger connects to your water supply using 1/4" tubing.  It fills automatically, so there is no manual filling. If you can connect water to a refrigerator, you can install a Valuefogger!

Do I need to do anything to take care of my Valuefogger?
Yes, you should clean your humidifier every 30 days. Pay particular attention to the Atomizing Screen, Fan Blade, Pump Cone, Spinning Discs (Both of them) and the Reservoir Pan. Clean these gently to avoid damaging the parts

Is the Valuefogger for Heavy Duty work?

The Valuefogger is best suited for greenhouse and light duty commercial work.  Its feature is the value that it offers for home growers and light work.  It is not designed for very harsh or heavy duty commercial work.

How do I adjust the humidity level of the Valuefogger?
To adjust the humidity level, you can use of of our optional humidistats. Simply set the desired humidity level, and the humidifier will automatically maintain it. There is no output adjustment on the Valuefogger.

What are some applications for the Valuefogger?

The Valuefogger is an excellent humidifier for greenhouses, grow rooms and other agricultural applications.  It also works well in tobacco,  print, furniture/woodworking, and any application where moisture is needed to keep wood or paper from drying out.
